About Me

Approach:

My therapeutic style is founded in mindfulness and somatic-based therapy. Mindfulness-based therapy means shining awareness on difficult emotions, and learning to sit with emotional pain instead of constantly living life in reaction to it. Then using techniques from somatic therapy, we explore where emotions are stored in the physical body and use insights from your body to release unhelpful patterns and restore wellbeing.

I founded Mindful Healing Boulder as a space for this kind of growth and healing. I use a two-pronged approach: 1) clean out and heal old emotional wounds and patterns from the root, while also 2) learning new skills to manifest what you want right now. In action, this looks like delving into difficult emotions and exploring where they stem from, while also practicing tools in session to use in your daily life to start feeling happy, purposeful, and fulfilled.

I view the therapeutic process as a co-creative process in which together we discover what is most healing for you.

My Story

Picture
Standing in awe of this sacral mammal in Thailand!
From a young age, I have always been drawn to spirituality through my amazement with nature. I have a clear memory of sitting in the grass as a child and realizing that every blade of grass is being pushed straight out of the earth by a universal life force! I just sat in wonderment touching the grass and looking around in awe of this miraculous world.

In adulthood, I have developed my spirituality through studying modern day spiritual teachers, practicing mindfulness and meditation, becoming a yoga teacher, and staying on the path of my own personal healing and growth.

My inherent love for people, healing, and spirituality led me to become a therapist and work in the mental health field. Along my path I found a way to intertwine my passions into Mindful Healing Boulder.

I am originally from Cleveland, OH and moved to Boulder to be closer to nature, skiing, and the mountains!

Now that you know a little bit about me, I would love to connect with you and hear your story! Please feel free to give me a call or shoot me an email.
